I first read this book in high school. I lost my copy but just recently got a new one and plan on reading it again. If you are interested in communism or some of the horrific actions of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge this book will draw you in.
This is the 2nd book I've recently read about the death of printed newspapers. The other book I read for my book group, The Financial Lives of Poets. That one was funnier and a quicker read. The Imperfectionists is more literary, but the stories are more like short stories, even though different characters link together and are all connected to a newspaper company in Rome. Like most short story collections, some of the stories are much better than others.
